Man United eye 15-goals Bundesliga striker as new summer target
According to the Goal, Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho is planning a summer move for Werder Bremen attacker Max Kruse in the summer transfer window.
It is believed that the Red Devils have abandoned their plans to sign Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann and are pursuing other attacking targets ahead of the 2017/18 season.
The same sources also claim that Germany international Max Kruse is firmly on Jose Mourinho’s radar this summer off the back of the 29-year-old’s barnstorming end to the Bundesliga campaign.
Kruse has managed to score 15 goals in 23 Bundesliga matches for Bremen and his goalscoring exploits appear to have put the Premier League giants on red alert.
Alongside Kruse, other top-class strikers including Alvaro Morata, Romelu Lukaku and Andrea Belotti are also being considered by Man United but the German is viewed as a cheaper alternative.
Meanwhile, United could swoop for Borussia Dortmund attacking sensation Ousmane Dembele in the summer transfer window.
The highly-demanded Frenchman has joined the Bundesliga giants from Rennes last July and in doing so he rejected offers from a host of top clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal.
Dembele has delivered on his promise this term and has been in stunning form for Borussia Dortmund, helping Thomas Tuchel’s side reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
